Situated less than one mile from the Pacific Ocean on the Palos Verdes Peninsula near Los Angeles, the South Coast Botanic Garden is little known, but quite beautiful, especially in summer.
Its 87 acres contain more than 2,500 species of plants with particular emphasis on plants and trees suitable for a Mediterranean climate.
